About Me
Hello friend! Welcome!
And thank you so much for stopping by Encouraging Faith!! It really means so much that you are here. I'm Talema and I've been in retail forever. Two or three years ago I started getting a thought race across my mind about starting an online site and it didn't go away. In fact, it came more often and seemed to grow as well. I finally told my husband and he was skeptical. (I mean, neither one of us knew how to do anything on the computer except scroll FB and send an email.) But I wasn't dropping it and he must have been able to see that it was something I really wanted to do because he became very supportive. He even agreed to go to a trade show with me so we could test some waters and gather some info. He didn't say a word as I started purchasing supplies and stock in small quantities here and there. This year he started urging me to go ahead and take the leap, start the thing. I told him I would but there were so many distractions with the children and grandchildren. He was disabled and had his own health issues but they seemed to be under control. Then one day, they weren't under control. He was admitted to the hospital and after a few days, they said they didn't know how to help him anymore. So he was transferred an hour and a half away because that hospital thought they would be able to help. But after 4 weeks in the hospital, he went to his heavenly home. After almost 42 years, I am in a new chapter (and not necessarily one I am happy about being in) but I have decided that I owe it to him to do this and to do my very best at it. So here I am. I'm leaning on Jesus a LOT and trudging forward - some days rather slowly. But I'm not giving up and I'm going to give it my best shot. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go on like I did but since I did, let me encourage you to lean on Jesus too when hard times roll around. He said he'd never leave us nor forsake us and I've found that to be true! We all have trials and hard times but we just have to keep looking up, looking to Jesus! Sometimes we need to be encouraged through those times and sometimes we need to do the encouraging. I'm hoping you might find something here to encourage you and your family or to encourage a friend or loved one. Again, thank you so much for stopping by - you made my day!! ~Talema
